Not only DB2 or PostgerSQL. Sybase can do it as well. Sybase has a bcc
command - line procedure, in which you specify the user name, database,
table, structure of the import file (either delimited or fixed - width) -
and can, quite literally, import millions of records in a very short space
of time.
