Hmm. Unless someone can roll you a custom binary rpm, you may be best to
compile php yourself with interbase support.
tar xvfz php-4.2.*.tgz
cd php-4.2.*
./configure ... --with-interbase=/opt/interbase (or where ever you installed
FB1.5)
This is fairly reliable. You won't have trouble with it
(As long as your compiler is installed ok)

from the documentation that i have read, interbase/firebird can be a
module to php4 like mysql or pgsql, and and the module name is
interbase.so. there is lot of php-mysql or php-pgsql rpm file over
internet but i cannot get any php-interbase rpm file, any body here can
give the file ?
