What about downloading IB_SQL from www.ibobjects.com onto a Microsoft
Windows box, connect to your database and see what server version is
reported? It may not be 100% comprehensible (e.g. it says that I am using
WI-V6.2.821 Firebird, something I assume is Firebird 1.0.2 build 821), but
at least this list can interpret your findings.

IB_SQL is a useful tool for many things, so don't throw it away afterwards ;o)
