are actively using it.
I do use DBak in a production environment, for a database
that gbak has always failed to restore successfully. (I
have not yet checked if gbak from FB 1.5 works or not.)
I regularly use it to archive out audit records (using the
filtering capability) and have quite often done a backup
and restore - placing the result into full production use
without a problem.
The production environment is running FB 0.9.4 and has the
occassional Blob error - where a blob seems to get corrupted
and cannot be read. I have not tested what gbak does in
this situation, but DBak provides an option to ignore such
errors and is still able to collect the rest of the record.
So I like to think its a huge success, but then I am biased.
;-)
I have left the "beta" status on it because I do not know how
much it has been used seriously elsewhere. There are a few
people with the source code, but I dont know if anyone else
has progressed to enough confidence to try it in production.
