The tool is irrelevant here - it's not the tool, but InterBase
that is throwing this error message at you.

InterBase 6 can only open ODS10 database files.

This database is an older version file. Did you read the
Migration Guide?

Backup the database with your older version of InterBase
and restore it with IB6.
