I never did get BDE stable <g>

Gardian has done it's job - if you just restarted the
applications, I would not have expected a problem

The firebird log is the best reference, translations of
errors are not reaching the windows log.

Did you need to? Was there a problem with the database?

Exactly what it says - server crashed - gardian restarted it
- which is exactly why gardian is supplied on a windows system.

I did not stop these sorts of events untill I eliminated BDE
from the system!
