Subject RE: [ib-support] Interbase 6 Memory/Resource Trouble

Hi,
I think you could use System Monitor. I use it on Red-Hat 8.0., and on
detailed process I can see memory usage by process.

Otherwise, I've another problem. I can't register events. When I use
IBEvent, and register it, the server hangs. It only occur on linux machine.
On Windows machine it runs well. Do you use IBEvent?

Asunto: [ib-support] Interbase 6 Memory/Resource Trouble

Hi,
I'm using IB6 on RedHat 7.1 with an easy application that pump data in a
80
column table. This table won't ever reach more than 20000 record. Last
night
the server machine fail because Interbase was to 98% of CPU, eating all
the
Physical memory (about 400Mbytes). The only way out was to restart the
machine. Right now the IB process keep on growing in memory usage. The
problem is that the same application with the same OS and same database on
other machine seems to behave correctly and i cannot reproduce the error.
Anyone has some suggestion on how monitor IB memory usage?
Does exist any Interbase monitoring tool in order to keep track of IB
behaviour or status in real-time?

Thank you

Alessandro
