Delphi and Builder ( Kylix on way ).

The small amount of PHP I have done did not have a speed
problem. But since we are still working with quite old
interface code, a newer version of that would help - perhaps
accessing the newer Firebird facilities.

If speed is a problem, then probably a three layer approach
may be better, with the likes of IBO caching at the middle
level.
