Marcelo,
IBObjects is a good component set ( tons of functionality and awesome
support ).
It's not freeware, but Trustware ( in short: you don't pay for it until you
make money with it ).
Jason Wharton is the developer, and he is striving to keep it compatible
with both IB and FB, as well
as future versions. If you're interested, there is a good IBX vs IBO article

I personally have not played with FibPlus to any great extent. I decided
to put my
effort into IBObjects...
