What is your client connection method? Depending our how you are connecting,
I think you are thinking about your upgrade in the opposite way to optimum.
e.g. if your old app is a BDE based application, I would upgrade that FIRST
against the 5.6 server. You will not see any improvement on the server
upgrade alone and there is no real problems with 5.6 that you haven't
probablt found already.
OTOH, If your app is using IBO then your upgrade will be very easy.
