No, I dont commit after select rows.
Can be that the problem?
I dont know it is needed.
Firebird create a new record version on select?

Yesterday I went to my costumer. In the meantime he shutdown the server and
performance are good now.
I modified my app so that it connect, select and than disconnect from
database. Also I have set autocommit on.
