try -user sysdba -password masterkey. In your example, you left the minus signs off...

gfix -v -f PathToDB username sysdba password masterkey
I get "data base file name PathToDB already given".
I'm obviously doing something wrong here. Any help?
Site is down since they were not using our back up utility either so any
speed replies would be doubly appreciated.
