Thomas, I run FB1.5 CS on RH8 with kernel upgraded to 2.4.20 which
distributed in RH9. There were minor configuration problems - i was
forced to increase manually LockMemSize (classic expands it
dynamically when needed but seems in this kernel this is not so cheap
operation as earlier) and patch etc/xinet.d/firebird changing
flags=REUSE to flags=REUSE KEEPALIVE (to enable new SO_KEEPALIVE
feature which replaces old Dummy Packets). Seems all works fine. For
Super I suppose there can be problems with this kernel.
