Hi,
I was surprised of that directory change too. I would prefer that we
stay in "/usr/local/" rather than "/opt" install dir.
I tried to set the FirebirdInstallPrefix variable before running
install.sh, but this don't work!!! The script did a lot of unwanted
chmod in unwanted directories (namely / !!) so I spent the last hour
to repair all the damages caused. I would not recommand anyone to try.
I finally went back to RC6.
