Errrm. No backup of the security database?

OK. I hope you're not really a spiv pretending to be a DBA all in a muddle.
:-)

Move or rename your security database.
Then, use GBAK to restore the file security.fbk (or isc4.gbk on Fb
1.0). Find these files in your Fb root directory. The SYSDBA password
should be 'masterkey'.

I hope you've at least got a listing of user names somewhere, so you can
rebuild the database. It doesn't matter about the passwords - you can give
them new ones.

Alternatively, once you are back up and running with the new sec. database,
you should be able to log into the other one and treat it just as an
ordinary database (not certain - haven't tried...) If so, then you could
pump the user records into the new one.

This all demonstrates how easy it is to steal the sysdba's identity on an
insecure server....
