Well, I do have to say that I have not yet read of someone NOT liking
IBO on this list or Borland NG's. I'm just not to keen on diverging
from the TDataset path. Do you have any experience with using IBO
TDataset stuff? Is it fast/stable? I ask because it looks to be that
the TDataset stuff for IBO seems to be a second choice for performance,
but attractive to those switching from IBX/BDE, etc.

FIBPlus looks very nice too. Most of the work that I will be doing for
the immediate furture will be with the kbmMW framework and I need to use
something that is compatible kbmMW. FIB has not yet been implemented in
kbmMW, but Kim has hinted that it may be something in the future (maybe
in 2.x???).

In addition to being open source, I like the fact that Zeos is
compatible with other SQL DB which could give my customers more
flexibility. I did a few tests with these components and they seem
pretty fast although I have not yet figured out how transactions with
with them and getting the changes to stick.
