No, for Firebird 1.0 SuperServer, and yes for Classic in general.

If you are on Windows, then there is no way with Firebird 1.0. If
you are on Linux, then use Classic. If you wait for Firebird 1.5,
then you can also use Classic, because 1.5 re-introduces Classic
for Windows, though the 1.5 Release Notes define the Classic port
under Windows as "experimental". That means, I do not know if it
is recommended to use it in production.

A real SMP support was discussed to be on the to-do list for v2.0.
