The comments field is subtype TEXT, the .exe is stored in a subtype 0. (One row per version. We're
not complicated.) As far as I know, we never had problems with the comments field -- even when
the .exe file wouldn't upload (and no errors were thrown, and we committed) the text was there,
with an empty file next to it. Both blobs are uploaded at almost the same time, in an updatable
dataset, with the .exe file being uploaded first, comments second. We could see the comments for
the file, but get a zero-byte file in return (note -- we also wouldn't get any errors when
downloading that file to disk ... it was simply empty.)
Is this in any way useful? I'm not sure if you've got an idea you're following or not ...
Thanks for responding,
-Philip
