Very badly if your files use the .GDB extension, thanks to Microsoft
infinite goodness. Once upon a time... the Redmond's guys decided that
any file ending in .GDB should have to be automatically backuped by the
system everytime they change. For sure, everybody knows that .GDB is
such an essential extension to Windows that it would make it run
unstable if it was not system-protected in that a way. (second-degree
humour attempt of course).
Get the power to decide what is good for you back in your hands :
completely disable system restore mechanism. Or at least name all your
files .FDB (for instance) instead of .GDB.
Note that with FB 1.0x you're still left with the ISC4.GDB database
which you can't rename : so better use FB 1.5 where this one has been
renamed to FBSECURITY.FDB.
