Can't answer exactly, except to say a year's worth of backporting and
bug-fixing.

It will be fine to use the 1.0.3 client with 1.0 server. Just not OK to
use the 1.0 client with the 1.0.3 server. :-)

It's easier than you think. You only need to install
it. 1.0-->1.0.1-->1.0.2-->1.0.3 were all about bug-fixes and cleanup.
