There is no Firebird version for Novell. That's the bad news.

If you want to use Firebird in a Netware environment, and if you use Netware
version 5 or better with IP protocol, the best advise I can give it's to put
a linux box near your netware server.

I use this configuration quite often. It's easy for a netware server user to
understand the need of that small box on the network. I use to gbak and ftp
the backup to the netware server, to use the novell server backup device
(usually a tape).
