Some time ago I switched from SS to CS on some of the servers I
maintain. When the SS is under big load (monthly reports, etc.) it just
cuts all other users, and to them it seems like it just hangs. CS
balances that load, so if someone runs monthly report, and other users
just want's to do a quick transaction, he doesn't have to wait few hours
to do it.

Look in group archives for a thread named "Time sharing", around 20th
May this year for more info about this.

CS is just great for these kind of sitations.
