Both install_super.bat and install_classic.bat try to install the server
as a service, but this is for Windows NT/2000/XP only. On Windows 9x,
you can't run firebird as a service, you have to run it as an application.

Open control panel and use Firebird 1.5 Server Manager to configure
firebird to run as an application.

As an alternative, create a shortcut to fbserver.exe in your autostart
folder.
