Hi. Shutdown don't kick out user's connections, they stays in
Established state but can do nothing except disconnect. You can make
backup but can't overwrite database (I intentionally recommend to
restore into another file and than replace database - some kind of
corruptions appear themselves on restore only and in this case gbk is
unrestorable, so if you restore overwriting source database you are
finished). To overwrite database you should kill classic server
processes (gds_inet_server on Linux and ibremote? fbremote? on Win -
not sure, I don't use Win).
