What is the benefit of Function Based indexes over "shadow" columns.
Everything I have
seen points to slower, more maintenance, etc. etc. Shadow columns look
like they are straight
forward to implement and maintain. Is there an advantage? I saw
Helen's post and have to
agree with her.
