I think you can do any choice.
I prefer one database user per real user, you can use the database longon
as an authenticator (?) you can via services API create new users with your
application.
If you have just one user, you have to create another login method,
sometimes you need to know who did something and should know the user
logged in your application.
With on user is easier to maintain, just create the default user when
install the application and do not need any user administration on your
software.
I use both methods on my systems, but I prefer the first (onde database
user for each real user).
I have a system running with Oracle and each user have an Oracle user
created and this user/password are used for login at the database and for
my system.
