This is curious.

Have you looked in the NT Event Logs?
How many users?
Has anything else changed?

Unless you need the extra features of build 821 you could try installing
796. That way, you can at least be sure to be running a server that has
been stress tested by thousands of others.

That said, the difference between 796 and 821 is minimal. However, a lot
happened between 0.95 and 1.0. It may be your own application that is
interacting badly. (Although ottomh I can't think why. The usual
suspects to look at are badly written udf's and long-running /
never-ending transactions. )
