I would say that before the end of this year is likely as well, it is just
that no-one knows when the right programmer has time for his hobby and when
he has to work to provide for his family and himself, so there is no set
schedule (there are some work in progress to improve on this). Most of us
expect version 1.5 ready before March next year (it is only the deadline
for Raymonds project which was the reason for him asking, no deadline
relating to Firebird), and I guess quite a few of us believe it will be
this year (and I guess I'm not the only one not having a clue about whether
this year means within the next few weeks or late December).

I just know that I like Firebird 1.0 and that I look forward to whatever
comes in the future.
