Surprise, the wrong part of your setup si Windows. :-)
Or better said its auto-dialup capability, which gets in the way
whenever a TCP connection is established.
I think you could just disable it in the Control Panel/Internet Settings
(or something like that - haven't got an english edition of Windows at
hand).
