Jason,
The best way to use older gdb file is to back them up with the older gbak,
then restore with the latest gbak (regardless of interbase or firebird).

Subject: [ib-support] Database Compatibility
Hi all.
Not to long ago I remember having an issue with Interbase gdb files.
If the file was created using Interbase 5 but I wanted to use it with
Interbase 6 there where errors.
Is Firebird the same or can I use any gdb file with Firebird.
Thanks
