i guess i should have mentioned i'm just connecting via jdbbc drivers for
coldfusion. the java examples i had used jdbc:InterBase ;-)

i guess the syntax for server & db aren't quite right.

jdbc url: jdbc:interbase:localhost;z:\\firebird\\databases\\fbunicode.gdb
driver class; interbase.interclient.Driver
driver: interbase
