Is there another list, perhaps, which focuses on server security issues? Or
is this forum OK?
I specifically would like to understand a little more about using IB/FB as a
webhosting database and optimising the security for it.
I know about the options of ZeBeDee and it sounds interesting. I know also
that IB/FB is a service of 3050 which can be open to attack if not properly
secured.
But there are other options which have their pros and cons. e.g. put the
server on a another machine - not always possible, or just add TCP security
to prevent 3050 traffic onto/off the box so the website talks fine but no
external communication is possible.
Issues like this I would like to discuss further. Please tell me if anyone
can discuss or is another forum is better.
