Didn't you say Win2K? That would be my guess if it's slow where others
aren't it is because of what it is. Just the GUI alone is enough to make
most server class hardware look like a dog. It's easy to switch to a
dedicated Linux DB server, with nothing to slow it down. My old PII/400
Linux boxen w/ 256MB RAM runs circles around this P4 1.2 Win2K PC w/ 512MB
RAM, when it comes to Firebird or Interbase.

Sorry, this doesn't answer your question, you'd be better off asking Billy,
but he won't tell, he doesn't tell anything. =P
