Subject RE: [ib-support] What is the srv_manager name in gbak.exe -SE servername:srv_manager
Author Thomas Steinmaurer
Hi Arno,

gbak Syntax (Backup):

gbak -b [options] -se[rvice] host_service db_name filespec

gbak Syntax (Restore):

gbak {-c|-r} [options] -se[rvice] host_service filespec db_name

The host_service syntax depends on your used protocol:

TCP/IP => hostname:service_mgr
Named pipes => \\hostname\service_mgr
Local (Windows only) => service_mgr

For example for TCP/IP this would be

-se yourserver:service_mgr
