I would locate and download the pdf documentation for InterBase, as 90+%
will pertain to both Firebird and InterBase.
Asking how without looking, is the same as asking someone to hold your
hand while doing it. Especially for something like this.
I could show you have to create the generator and trigger, but then you
will have other questions as well like how to use them to accomplish
what you are asking.
Get the docs, and the explanations and examples should be plenty.
They have for me, I have not had to seek to much assistance in using or
building InterBase/Firebird db's because of the documentation. It's very
complete.
