Hi,

QuickDesk and IB Expert do let you view/edit the description field. I
don't know about the other tools though, I think some others do. I find
this capability useful for documenting, since I can printout the database
structure including the description fields. And, it would be nice to be
able to do it through SQL statements and to be able to retrieve them via
SQL statements for usage in an application, instead of using the system
tables. This is probably one of those "if you build it, people will use
it" kind of thing.
