Since the base directory can be changed, you could have a
list of available versions IB6 - IB6.5 - FB1, and select the
correct settings for each.

Only problem is that the gds32.dll should also be switched
to the correct version.

This was really just tongue in cheek - but I can see the
advantage of being able to switch between a current and new
version - if there are problem you switch back and carry on.
