It can be a revelation to go and inspect your user account at yahoogroups
when you have been "losing" mail. More often than not, you will find that
your incoming yahoo mail has been soft-bounced because, somewhere in your
ISPs delivery chain, your mail provider has run out of disk on its pop3
server and returned a non-permanent error...if your mail provider (like
mine, Dingoblue) uses the optusnet network, this kind of thing will happen
almost daily, often with lags of up to 12 hours.
The yahoo smtp server queues up soft-bounced sent mail and keeps re-trying
for several hours, so you WILL eventually see your posting if your mail
provider's admins are awake.
