I am completely stumped, but I've got some other things for
you to try. First, have you tried the query with ISQL? - not
the IBConsole version, but the plain old command line ISQL.

Have you deactivated and reactivated the index? If you haven't,
please make a copy before you do - a corrupt index is not a good
thing.

Can you reproduce this in a database containing only that
table and a minimal subset of its data? If so, can you
send me a copy of it?
