Database's in general are IO intensive so definately
filesystem has effect.
My preference would be a journaling filesystem
over the ones you mentioned and ext2 over
NTFS just 'cause i like linux better.
Does anyone have benchmarks?

Hi
Does the file system of the underlying OS affect IB performance? ie, is
NTFS or ext2 preferred over vfat?
Or else ,does Interbase bypass the file system for its work?
regards
