you need to go to the interbase/bin directory. then
"ibguard /uninstall"
that will remove the Guardian Service, then
"ibserver /uninstall"
which will then remove the InterBase Service.
After that you should be able to run IBServer as an app..

assuming a registry entry, but if that's the case I've removed it and it
doesn't seem to have an
effect. The error message that ibserver.exe gives me is that it's linked to
missing export
KERNEL32.DLL.SetProcessAffinity
