I also had AV problems with an older build of
GDS32.DLL, but I am not sure if it was with
version 6.0.0.627 (but I think so).

I switched to a different version of GDS32 and
all problems went away.

I am using version 6.0.1.0.
IMHO this version of the client library will
work with your server. So if you would like to
test it, please tell me and I send you the file
privately.
