Brad,
The ability to specify a port is a newer Firebird feature, accordingly
it's not in the original documentation.
For Win32, the connect string would be:
"Server/Port:Drive\Directory\Database.gdb", for other ports it would be
"Server/Port:/device/Directory/Database.gdb"

There is nothing wrong with Interbase
that Firebird can't fix
