Hi:

But the comment and response was in regard to XSvc.exe

But if it is "unsupported" in RC2, why "take an extra switch to
allow
installation of the guardian."?

Will it also uninstall the service?

And since I am using IB right now, that is where I am at.

Besides, the dll derived from XSvc is not specific to IB/FB. It can
be used
for anything and controlled with appropriate parameters.

And my underlying problem with all of this is that I have written a
nicely
running big app using IB6 & IBX. I am not interested in paying for a
replacement
for IBX and then modifying my code as I find that it works fine.
Now, I think the OS FB is great but with the forking and no support in
IBX
for the future of FB, I don't want to switch
and get into a new can of worms.

Besides, all the posting I have seen in Inno are with regard to
installing IB,
not FB. One would wonder why folks who are interested in using an
installer
which is free and with source do not appear to be using FB over IB.

Thanks.

Best regards
