Subject Re: [ib-support] OT: comments re: attracting users to interbase

I remembered that Claudio has done a very interesting document that compares IB6 and MsSQL:

http://www.cvalde.com/document/comparison_ib6_mssql7.htm

I think I have read something for oracle (someone once post something that compares FB to Oracle, claiming better performance, but never post the results back). I think the most important info is there in the web, but in different places. :)

Ann: I take a quick look at MySQL crash-me results, and I have just seen results for Interbase Open Edition. No FireBird results. Should I look again, or they really don't have compare-results for FireBird? Also, I noticed that some results for IB are wrong, so maybe some other results for other databases are not very acurate.

I think this document from Claudio is a much greater help for developers that just the tables MySQL reports. Claudio did not finish the wonderful job he starts in 'What are the features that make Interbase different than the competition´' (http://www.cvalde.com/features.htm). I think he stopped at 5.5 because the new features in IB 6 were documented by Borland in the website.
