I'm going through the same exact thing right now. My big draw to D3 is
Int64 data types which allow large accurate currency fields.

It is a bit of a job to convert depending on the status and size of your
current gdb.

D3 is more picky about ambiguous field names in queries, "now" needs to be
'now', "user" needs to be 'user', etc.
DATE fields are now TIMESTAMP but you now have individual DATE and TIME
fields.
Take a look at the Borland docs for more reserved field names.

Kevin

Subject: [ib-support] Dialect 1 versus Dialect 3

Hi,

Can anybody be so kind to help me with the differences between Dialect 1
and 3, or point me to a document. I am looking for the differences in
SQL syntax etc.

I have been running on dialect 1 and is investigating 3.

Any help would be appreciated.

Regards
Louis Werth
