I do this (or what sounds like what you want) but I do it with a separate
(second) connection. For example one user does not fire certain triggers, to
log things, so I just connect the query to a connection already to go with
that user, then I return to the other user.

Is it possible to change the user of a connection to the database
while the database remains connected?
I need to change the current user temporarily to one that has certain
rights. The problem is that the database connection cannot be closed
as there are queries that need to remain active.
Is it possible to achieve this with a TIBODatabase connection??
Thanks
