I did some multithreaded tests in Java using JayBird JDBC driver, and
Classic server on IBM's Netfinity machines with 2 processors, SCSI
hard drives, Suse Linux, and it was faster than SuperServer. I do not
remember times (it was almost half a year ago), but seems to be > 2
times.

Since than I'm using CS.
