wraps around...
thank God I'll be long dead and buried before any of my generators wrap
around
Alan
PS - they're pretty darn big numbers
I have to be adding approx 115,000 records a day to a table for the next 50
years to get a wrap around, and that's using only a 32 bit integer

Subject: [ib-support] triggers and transactions
When a GEN_ID() is invoked within a transaction
and that transaction is subsequently rollbacked,
does that mean that the id generated within that
transaction will not be 'rollbacked' and that the
value will never be returned by GEN_ID() again
(at least until it wraps around)?
