basically all you need is the gds32.dll.

older versions of IB/FB needed the line "gds_db 3050/tcp" in
the SERVICES file, but iirc Firebird >= 1.0 doesn't need this as
it defaults to port 3050 - that's about it... (assuming you use IBX, IBO or
FIBPlus components, i.e. no BDE of course)
